The Friends of the Oslo Jewish Museum is established to actively support and create interest in the museum’s activities, exhibitions, artefact collection and cultural events.
The Friends of the Museum was established in the fall of 2005 and has about 600 members.
The organization is an independent financial entity which manages its own means in accordance with its bylaws. Since its founding, it has given the museum financial contributions and gifts of considerable value. The gifts are, amongst others, the wrought iron gate and the restoration of the Torah cabinet.
Friends of the Museum publishes a newsletter twice a year, informing the members about the museum’s activities and events. The Annual Meeting is the highest organ of the Friends and is usually held by the end of June.
