Exhibition opening and book launch at the Jewish Museum in Oslo
On Thursday, June 11, we opened our summer exhibition "Women in Jiddish Culture". The same day was the book "Jewish stories. From Shtetl to Grünerløkka »by Eva Scheer launched.
On the occasion of the festival we had music by Morten Michelsen (clarinet) and Almir Meskovic (accordion). Speaking of Sidsel Levin (JMO), Barbara Pendzich (Bente Kahan Foundation), Monika Adamczyk-Garbowska (Maria Curie-Sklodowska University) and Håkon Harket (Publishing Press). Actor Kari Ann Grønsund read the story "The bags on the fence pole".
Ingvild Næss Stub, State Secretary of the UD, was responsible for the official opening of the exhibition.
Last post on the program was lectured "From Women Readers to Women Authors: Female Voices in Yiddish Literature." By Monika Adamczyk-Garbowska.

The exhibition will be from 14 June to 23 August 2015.
